March 23, 2009

TOXMAP now includes the 2007 Toxics Release Inventory data (TRI) (http://www.epa.gov/tri/NationalAnalysis/archive/index.html).

Other TOXMAP updates include the ability to:
  • save your search results to a comma-delimited file;
  • toggle county and Congressional district boundaries via "Reference Data" link; and
  • zoom to Indian reservations via "Zoom to a Place" link.
TOXMAP maps the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) chemicals reported to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as required by the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA).

A complete list of TRI chemicals required to be reported to the EPA can be found at http://www2.epa.gov/toxics-release-inventory-tri-program/tri-listed-chemicals.
